A report from our Spring Gymanfa Ganu in 2007
On April 29th, 2007 an enthusiastic crowd of Welsh men and women and their Welsh music-loving guests joined together in joyful song at the Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church in Oak Park. They were ably led by Trefor Williams of Milwaukee who returned again this year to inspire and entertain with gentle encouragement, bold musical direction, and amusing anecdotes. Dianne McCarty accompanied on the organ and the Moody Student Vocal Ensemble filled the nave with harmonious renditions of familiar songs and hymns. Long after the last strains of music had faded attendees lingered in the church hall enjoying a sumptuous Te Bach and pleasant conversation with friends old and new.
